Maxilim - 3D Patient
Maxilim - 3D Patient contains all features to create a 3D digital model of your patient in Maxilim.
This module allows you to convert the CT images and photographs to a 3D digital copy of your patient. Clinical knowledge is not necessary to be able to work with this module.
Maxilim enables you to create 3D models from CT images. However to make a correct treatment plan the hard tissues, soft tissues and occlusion should be examined conjointly.
Starting
from CT images of your patient and the double-sided impression, a 3D skin- and
skull surface of the patient with high accurate dentition models is created(*). The
extra-cranial soft tissues that will deform after bone movement are identified.
Based on digital 2D photographs, created by your digital camera from your clinical practice (**), or a 3D photograph, created by a 3D image capture system, you add color information on the 3D skin model. This feature allows you to see your patient´s ´face´.
