3D cephalometry

Maxilim - 3D cephalometry contains all features to perform a 3D cephalometric analysis.
This solution is designed to reliably assess the 3D anatomy of your patient´s head (*).

Virtual cephalograms

In Maxilim you virtually position the patient in an X-ray machine to compute a lateral and frontal cephalogram from the CT data. The marriage of the 3D information with the conventional 2D approach is particular to the Maxilim approach.

3D reference frame

An anatomically based 3D reference frame is set up. The reference frame is based on Nasion and Sella. This reference frame is defined as a 3D extension of Profitt´s approach.

Landmarks and planes

Landmarks can be indicated on either the virtual X-rays, on the bone or skin surface or on a reslice through the CT volume. This allows you to indicate landmarks in an accurate and repeatable way. Anatomical planes are automatically defined and visualized based on the indicated landmarks. New landmarks and planes can be added, you can define your own analysis.

Measurements

When all landmarks are indicated, Maxilim presents the measurements defined in your analysis in a clear layout. All measurements can be visualized in the 3D scene. Reports to print or to include in your favorite patient record system are available. Export of the results to Excel for further processing is also possible.
