Mirroring tool - more information

For patients with defects caused by trauma or cancer, reconstructive surgery is necessary. Maxilim® contains a new tool to mirror anatomical parts. This can help you defining the best treatment for reconstructive cases.

Entire models can be mirrored. You can define a new plane or you can use an existing plane as mirror plane. This feature is particular useful as you can use cephalometric planes as mirror planes.
The patient below has a defect at the right side of the maxilla and the zygoma. With the cephalometric tool the median plane was defined. This plane is used as mirror plane. The orange model represents the mirrored model of skull.
